Tanja Brieden
Tanja is originally from Germany. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Mannheim in Germany and graduated from the Finance and Investments Master’s program at Copenhagen Business School in Denmark. During her studies, she also spent two semesters abroad at Trinity College Dublin in Ireland and Mahidol University in Thailand. Prior to joining VGSF, she earned a Research Master in Finance from the Stockholm School of Economics in Sweden.
Her main research interests include empirical banking, financial regulation, fixed income, and investor behavior in financial intermediation. Her interest in financial intermediation stems from in-depth insights into the banking sector gained during various internships and student assistant positions in equity trading, fixed income sales, portfolio management, and risk management divisions of leading financial institutions.
In her free time, she enjoys biking, hiking, and gardening. She also pays frequent visits to the Vienna State Opera and is a member of its friendship circle.
